Pumpkin ShowOff

Pumpkin Coasters....who'd thought!!!!
Not me...I usually just fold a paper towel and hope it catches my drips and spills!
That was before I was a TEA drinker!
I've become a bit more cultured since joining the Wednesday Knit Foursome,
who are connoisseurs of Tea and Tea Etiquette.
And guess what...a folded paper towel just doesn't cut it when setting a proper
Afternoon Tea Party Table.
So, for our Wednesday, October 31st Afternoon Tea Party I'm thinking a Pumpkin Coaster
will surely give the Knittin' Gals an idea of how far this
Girl Raised In Texas has come in the department of Tea Etiquette!
What can I say...Old habits are hard to break!

  1. What a cute idea, Sue! The ladies will be SO impressed. I like the fact that it's crocheted since I haven't perfected the art of knitting! Great project...thanks for the pattern!

  11. Yep, that would be me using the paper towel to protect my pretty coaster.

  12. I must have missed that pattern on Talking Crochet -- I might just have to crochet a set! I use coasters that I've crocheted all the time -- and occasionally put a paper towel over it too (do not feel alone....)!!

  14. You need a cute little mug rug for your tea and cookies. I made one a few weeks ago and posted it on my blog. I used and old doily, and cut away the stained parts. Cute little pumpkins!
